Dr. Familiar was part of the 11th edition, presenting a poster and oral work titled: Chronic maternal depressive symptoms predict executive behavioral problems in their HIV affected children. Using data from a clinical trial in Eastern Uganda testing the effect of a parenting intervention to enhance child development, Dr. Familiar and colleagues analyzed how chronically high depressive symptoms in mothers may impact child executive functioning after a 2 year follow up.

Results were presented as poster and oral during the meeting and Dr. Familiar was awarded Best Poster.
